Important tips to guide you to Germany
If you are planning to study in Germany, please go through the following information, which will help you to get an idea for the journey.
Before you leave your home land

The Language
It is always advisable to learn the language i.e. spoken, reading and writing very well. This language is very easy to learn and speak. This will help you to undergo their entire education in German language. If any applicant is class XII passed, the university will provide a ten months preparatory faculty (Physics, Math’s and Technical German language) in which you will master the language. If you are B.Sc. graduate, you need to attend only technical language for four months in university.
VISA and Immigration
When ever you will receive a green signal along with invitation for study and pays the necessary service charges and submit the passport. The visa process will take 15 to 21 days.
Foreign Exchange
The Reserve Bank will permit you US $ 5,000/- per year for the expenses of institute fees, medical insurance, fooding and lodging. You may not worry how much money you can taking while passing through custom in Germany vise versa. You may not declare the amount. The currency of Germany is EURO €. VISA Card or Debit card can be used.
Job Permit
As a registered university student you will get job permit for 150 days per year. In the vacation you can do some job for financing your study. There are some organization in the university from where you can get job with out paying tax.
Tuition fees and other expenses
As a rule every student at the Technical University Germany must pay a fee in the amount of € 592,00 for each semester of study.
The tuition fee has been charged since the summer semester of 2007. Under certain circumstances you may be exempted from payment of the tuition fee. Please contact the Registrar's Office with regard to exemptions by operation of law; however, exemptions by way of application are processed by the Fees and Scholarships Department.
If you meet the requirement for exemption an would like to be exempted from payment of the tuition fee, then you must immediately send us a request for exemption from the obligation to pay the tuition fee.
Please note the following deadlines:
· October 31st for the respective winter semester
· April 30th for the respective summer semester
Applications submitted after these deadlines cannot be approved. However, any required documents may be subsequently submitted.
Medical Insurance
Every student must have to have medical insurance. The cost of medical insurance is € 29 - € 50 for student. It covers general insurance and Dental insurance. However the student traveling for first time will be issued VISA only if an insurance has been taken from their home land. It will cost Rs.5000/- approximately.
